Products and Services
Dolphin delivers Wulfkit, which is used for parallel computing applications that require handling huge volumes of data at very high-speed.
These types of closely coupled applications include scientific modeling, weather and seismic prediction, finite element analysis and
other high-performance computing applications.
WulfKit is available for Intel, Alpha, AMD and Sun platforms. WulfKit cluster systems are scalable to thousands of processors using the WulfKit 3D torus distributed switch topology.

Customer highlights
-
The VERITAS project will search for very high-energy gamma rays from many different classes of objects including black holes at the centers of active galaxies, pulsars, gamma-ray bursts, supernova remnants, globular clusters and galaxies including our own Milky Way Galaxy. Funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, VERITAS is collaboration of several universities and research institutions. Key link in capturing and processing all this data in real time is the Dolphin Interconnect Solutions SCI (Scalable Coherent Interface) IEEE standard high-speed interconnect installed in the front-line servers handling the data.
-
One of the largest cluster system in Sweden, the National Supercomputer Centre in Linkoping, is built with the Dolphin WulfKit3 high-Speed interconnect.
-
The TOP500 class Beowulf cluster computer, a new high performance supercluster system named "Mufasa" at Penn State University is being used to develop new parallel algorithms and software for many-body applications, such as non-Newtonian and nanoflows in fluids, quantum mechanics of complex molecules and quantum computational biology. The Penn State cluster employs the WulfKit two-dimensional interconnect, Dolphin's mid-level clustering interconnect.
-
The Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL) in Oxon, UK, has a high-performance computing (HPC) cluster christened "Hrothgar." The high-speed SCI interconnect supplied by Dolphin Interconnect is combined with AMD Athlon processors. RAL is the largest laboratory of the Council for the Central Laboratory of the Research Councils (CCLRC), a provider of large-scale facilities and expertise in support of research throughout the UK.
